Photography

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart, and head.
-Henri Cartier-Bresson

Some of my favorite photos I took have an element of adventure. Hikes in a national park to get to the perfect spot, dark nights to see the stars and the Milky Way, and sometimes getting too close to the subject… (no, not the rattlesnakes!).

For me, photography is not looking through the viewfinder and clicking a button. It is foremost the experience of being in the moment and capturing that moment. Often, I am in awe of nature and want to experience being there. Forget the camera. Forget the photos. Just be. Just see. The camera always comes second to that.
